Giving Tuesday: A Day of Music & Matched Donations
We're participating in this year's Giving Tuesday - a national day of raising funds for non-profits before the end of the year - on Tuesday, December 3. We've got a matching gift of just over $1,000 from some members of our CVCR board, the Programming Committee, programmers, and a generous donor to help challenge donors who have yet to give this year. If you have not yet given to the station in 2024, please make Giving Tuesday the day you give and have it doubled! We're aiming to raise $2,000 or more.
To add to the fun, we’re giving you a full day of live, specially-themed music shows, made by some of our local programmers. The line up will include:
9-11am - Maura Quinn of the “Thought Pasture”
11am-1pm - DJ Llu of “Get Fresh”
1pm-3pm - Dave Tucker of the “Long and Winding Road”
3-5pm - Bill Nowlan’s “Listen Up!”
5-6pm - Delia Gillen of “Magpie in the Morning”
6-7pm - Conni Mags of “Immanent Grove”
7-9pm - The “Still Life Crew” with DJ Orange Peel and Club Soda
9-11pm - KingTone with a special “Meltdown”
Tune in and enjoy a day of curated great music and hear us work toward meeting the match!
As always, we keep the station budget nimble. Everything we raise goes directly into the programming and costs to run the station. Give to WGDR & WGDH before the end of the year or give in honor of someone for their holiday gift. We provide our community with locally made, community-centered, unique, and inspiring content every single day. Gifts of any size go a really long way in helping us keep this up into 2025 no matter what comes our way with national trends. Thank you!
